Synopsis

The Mysterious Affair at Styles is the story of the detective skills of a world War victim Hercule Poirot. Poirot returns to his native to recover from war wounds and meets his old friends. He stays at the house of Emily who had inherited wealth from her late husband. The story is narrated, how Poirot resolves the mystery behind the killing of Emily by her husband Alfred Inglethorp who is younger than and Emily and remarry her for inheriting wealth.
Mrs. Emily Cavendish inherited huge wealth from her late husband including the Styles estate and other incomes. Her stepsons John Cavendish and Lawrence Cavendish stay with her at styles. She has married recently Alfred Inglethorp, a fortune hunter and much younger than her.After having a hot conversation between one of the suspects, she takes her medicine and retire early. She would never have thought it was her last day. Next day she was found dead with strychnine poisoning.
Who could be the murderer? Who would gain the most out her death? Is it the natural inheritor of her property? Or is it her recently married young husband who is a fortune hunter? How she was killed? Who made her consume the lethal dose which cost her life.
